Meet Kassie—a tall, elegant, and wonderfully affectionate blend of sighthound, Pointer, and maybe Greyhound who brings both playfulness and a love of cuddles to the table. Just shy of 2 years old and around 60 lbs, Kassie faced some hurdles starting out, with several shelter stays. Once in foster care, though, her playful curiosity shined and she quickly adapted to home life with the right structure and patience. Kassie is sweet, attentive, and eager to please. She’s house trained, takes herself to her crate at bedtime, and has mastered 'Sit' and 'Come', responding well to a whistle. She loves romping in the snow, fence-line zoomies with other dogs, and is progressing daily with leash skills using a Halti collar. Kassie thrives with someone who can guide her training and offer security. She does well with other dogs. Kassie’s prey drive can kick in—cats who run trigger her to chase, so she'll need a cat-savvy or critter-free home, or very careful supervision. She’s not the best fit for homes with small animals, but would be great with an experienced adopter ready to focus on her growth.
