About Tzatziki
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Tzatziki! This handsome fella is a 65 lb. hunk and around 8 years old. He is a confident and independent dog who doesn't need to be the center of attention, but loves just being close to those who care about him. Tzatziki greets everyone politely and warmly, but he saves his most loyal love for his family. Once you've gained a spot in his inner circle, he'll happily curl up beside you on the couch or at your feet, always ready to be your taste tester or plate cleaner. While Tzatziki would be perfectly content as an only dog, he also gets along well with other dogs who respect his place as the alpha. He enjoys easy living—lounging in the yard, taking relaxing walks (he’s great on a leash), and spending time with a chew toy or napping in his crate. Currently, Tzatziki is undergoing heartworm treatment and is doing great! He’s searching for a foster-to-adopt home where he can finish recovery with plenty of comfort and love. All of his veterinary expenses for heartworm treatment are covered by the rescue until he’s cleared for full adoption. Since he’s an older dog, Tzatziki finds the protocol simple—just leashed potty breaks and lots of indoor relaxation, which suits his laid-back style. You’ll need an approved application to meet Tzatziki, and the adoption process includes a home visit (within a 2-hour radius of Dayton, OH). The rescue provides spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and heartworm testing for their dogs, ensuring each pet's health and wellness — and they’re happy to answer any questions about their animals. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
