About Pinto Bean
Pinto Bean—called Pinto by those who know her—has weathered more than most. After months evading animal control, she survived a brutal winter outdoors before finally being trapped by the rescue team. Pinto Bean is about 2 years old, around 45 pounds, and wears a unique tri-color coat typical of foxhounds. She's been spayed, is up to date on vaccines, and is working through heartworm treatment (fully covered until she's negative). At heart, Pinto Bean is gentle but deeply shy. She still struggles with a leash and gets nervous when handled but never lashes out; instead, she just shuts down. Other dogs are her anchor—she needs to go to a home with canine companions, as she thrives in their presence and finds comfort in their company. She's crate trained, prefers the company of other dogs, and spends her time at the rescue enjoying both her kennel and the play yard. She gets along with cats, though they can intimidate her, and she’s scared around children and new people. Pinto Bean will do best with an adopter who understands that she needs time, space, and patient guidance to come out of her shell. She's available to applicants anywhere in the US and Canada, with transport included at no extra cost. Born on February 9, Pinto is an Aquarius—dogs under this sign are often independent and resilient. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
