His mom was seized from an animal abuser, and he was born shortly after—spending nearly his entire first year of life waiting as a court case slowly worked its way through the system. When he was finally released at 11 months old, the world felt big and scary. Thanks to the patience and love of his foster family, Spandex has blossomed into a well-adjusted, happy pup with the sweetest temperament. He’s the kind of dog who will let you do just about anything—handling, hugs, dress-ups, you name it—because all he really wants is to be loved. He enjoys the company of other dogs, but children are his absolute favorite! He would do best in a cat-free home, because cats look a little too much like toys to him. Spandex missed out on so much early in life, but he’s made up for it with an enormous heart.
