Meet Cheyenne! Cheyenne is a two-year-old female Pit Bull Terrier who greets life with enthusiasm and plenty of tail wags. She loves hanging out in the backyard with her senior dog buddy and brings a good amount of energy to the table. Cheyenne’s ideal home would be one without other pets, or with someone experienced in managing toys and food, given her tendency to guard resources like water, food, and toys—likely a leftover habit from a tough past. With kids, though, Cheyenne lights up and is all in, whether racing around outside or sharing the couch. She feels at home in her crate, often going in there herself for some downtime. Leash walks go smoothly with her; she's motivated to learn and eager to please. Cheyenne would benefit from continued training and socialization, and as a bonus, her adopter gets five free training sessions from Zoom Room Metcalf. She’s looking for a local Kansas City home through Lucky 13 Rescue’s Foster to Adopt program; adopters must be able to take her to scheduled vet appointments. Cheyenne is currently heartworm positive but is undergoing treatment, which is fully covered. Her adoption fee includes her vaccines, spay, microchip, and heartworm prevention.
