About Wednesday
Meet Wednesday! This vibrant pup embraces life with energy and love. After being dumped on a rural property, she found her way into a caring family who hoped to foster her but struggled to find the right adopter. Now, she’s adjusting to the bustling city, slowly becoming accustomed to the sights and sounds around her. Wednesday thrives with both dogs and kids—though she’s currently working on her jumping skills. She’s also good with cats, showing affection that they may not always appreciate. Ideal for an active family, she has a medium energy level, needing walks and playtime. Despite her energy, this cuddly pup loves to snuggle and tries to be close to her humans all the time. Being a typical puppy, she enjoys toys and playful roughhousing with other dogs. If she’s in a new environment, she'll find a way to coexist peacefully. After about half an hour, she’ll surprise you with the sweetest kiss. Her leash skills are a work in progress, as she tends to meander and sniff during walks. Food motivates her, and she’s quite smart, so you can expect her to catch on quickly. While she has shown some light resource guarding over food and treats, it's nothing serious. Happy to be kennel trained for workdays and bedtime, she eats comfortably in her crate. A home with another dog would help Wednesday build her confidence and learn more about being a dog. However, as long as her new family commits to proper socialization and activity, she can thrive as a single-dog companion. Wednesday is available through our Foster to Adopt program to local adopters in the Kansas City area.
