About Katya

🌟 Introducing the delightful Katya, a vibrant 1-year-old beauty weighing in at approximately 32 lbs! This adorable girl made her way to Mostly Mutts from animal control and is bursting with gratitude as she embarks on her journey to find a furever home. She recently spent a lovely couple of days in a temporary foster home, where she discovered the warmth of a loving environment. Now back at Mostly Mutts, Katya is ready to steal hearts! ❀ đŸ¶ When it comes to other pets, Katya hasn’t met any other dogs yet while at the shelter, so let’s plan a meet-up to see how everyone clicks! Cats are still an unknown adventure for her, but she’s open to the idea! And guess what? She absolutely adored the two boys—ages 6 and 12—in her foster home! Given her fun-loving, playful personality, it’s best that she joins a family without toddlers or small kids, as she can be a bit jumpy and might unintentionally give a playful nip. ✹ Katya is a truly gorgeous girl with the cutest little ears! Her temporary foster showered her with love and described her as ‘just the sweetest.’ After a nice walk or some playtime, she’s the perfect combination of young exuberance and sweet calmness, just craving interaction with her favorite humans! Though she was a little nervous during her shelter bath, she found comfort in her bather’s presence, proving just how lovable she can be. 🧠 Smart as a whip, she knows commands like ‘come’ and ‘leave it’ and is eager to learn even more alongside her new family. She’s shown great crate manners and while her potty habits were good in her temp foster home, she’s still adjusting to the shelter schedule and has had a few accidents. But with a sprinkle of patience and love, she’ll be on track in no time! 💖 This sweet girl just loves being around people and can even be seen having fun with a ‘flat dog’ in the mirror—what a sight! With a heart full of love to give, she does like to cheekily mouth at hands and legs to grab attention, but we’re sure her new family can help her learn some more polite ways to ask for affection. As for dislikes, Katya is still figuring that out; however, one thing she definitely wouldn’t enjoy is a lack of love, attention, exercise, and training. đŸ©ș On the health front, Katya is current on all her vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed. She’s now on the lookout for a loving family who will cherish her as a valued member!
