Introducing Pepper! Pepper is a beautiful one-year-old Plott Hound mix, petite at 30 lbs. She’s the perfect size for cozy cuddles and neighborhood strolls! While her hound heritage gives her an impressive nose, her personality is pure sweetness. Pepper starts off a little shy when meeting new people, but she has a secret weapon for warming up: TREATS! Her hesitation quickly melts away when tasty rewards are involved. Once she's comfortable, her intelligence and eagerness to please truly shine. She is incredibly trainable and already knows a vast repertoire of commands. "Sit," "paw," and "lay down" just scratch the surface of what this smart girl can do. Pepper walks well on a leash, though she may still feel a bit timid or overwhelmed in very busy, loud environments. A calm neighborhood and an adopter who can help her build confidence is ideal. Excellent news—Pepper is both dog-friendly and cat-friendly! She's happy to share her space with furry siblings (dogs and cats alike). She would also be a wonderful addition to a home with kids, provided they understand and respect that she needs a little time to decompress and feel secure when she first arrives.
