About Dobby
Dobby is a smart, energetic Plott Hound mix looking for his next adventure. A graduate of the Leash on Life Prison Pup Program, he’s already proven himself by earning his Canine Good Citizen certificate. He nails skills like loose-leash walking, recall, and a range of fun tricks. But take note: his hound instincts run deep—get a deer in the area and he’ll want to give chase. At a healthy 60 pounds, Dobby is fully grown, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, ready to join a family who matches his energy. Born at the end of 2017, Dobby is mature with a good blend of playfulness and calm. He’s food motivated, making training a breeze, and he thrives on mental challenges, always keen to show off his tricks—especially if snacks are involved. Dobby greets everyone—dogs and people alike—with a wag and a curious sniff, earning him the nickname “Ambassador to Dogs.” However, true to hound form, he’s not a fit for a home with cats. He may seem reserved initially, but he warms up and becomes a dedicated snuggle buddy at the end of the day. Dobby needs an active home with a fenced yard where he can burn off energy and explore. He’s housetrained and used to routine exercise, so an owner who loves the outdoors is ideal. Give him patience and treats and he’ll adjust to his new space happily. If you want a loyal, intelligent companion ready for hikes and sofa cuddles, Dobby is waiting for you. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
