About Sissy
Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to the beautiful and resilient Sissy! This precious one-year-old Terrier mix, weighing in at a mere 15-20 lbs, has danced through quite the journey. She arrived with a heart full of confusion—having been picked up while running loose, separated from her doggo friend, and then sent on a transport to find her forever home. A story like that? It deserves a standing ovation! 🙌💖 Sissy is what one might refer to as a "slow burn." Initially, she was a bit shy and preferred to hide from her foster family and the other dogs. You might even hear her growl from time to time, but then she would roll over, showing her belly, as if to say, "I come in peace, but oh, how my heart has been hurt before!" 😢💔 But hold onto your hats, folks! Fast forward a few weeks, and this little lady has blossomed! Now she adores her foster mom, gets those speedy zoomies across the living room, and snuggles up in bed for some cozy sleep. She’s also made strides in meeting strangers—happily accepting sweet pets with a wagging tail when her foster mom is nearby! It’s true—moving to a new home will present some challenges for this darling; however, with a sprinkle of patience and understanding from her adopters, she is destined to flourish into the shining star of the family. 🌟 **Now, let’s chat about Sissy’s needs:** - Dog friendly and likely to get along with cats (but hasn’t met any yet). - Currently crate trained and is making progress on potty training! Yay! - Walks well on a leash once trust is established—how about that drive to bond? - A fenced yard is preferred, but it’s not a dealbreaker. - She’ll need a playpen and pee pads during her initial decompression period, so she can fully adjust. - To ensure a smooth transition, Sissy would do best in a home without young children who might rush her. So if you feel that little tug at your heart, you must take action! Apply to adopt Sissy through the Buddy App. It’s the perfect way to give this lovely girl the loving forever home she deserves. Let’s show her that humans can be kind! 💕🐾
