About Chook AKA Chaz JuM
Meet Chook, affectionately known as Chaz, which means 'Chicken' in Australian. This charming Bully Breed mix boasts a soft, rich red coat and a playful demeanor. Weighing in at around 42 pounds, Chook is a compact fellow with quirky ears that add to his character. Chook's journey to finding his forever home started when he was rescued from a situation where a well-meaning bystander could no longer care for him. Thankfully, Chook found his way to his amazing foster family, who happen to be dog trainers. They've been teaching him essential commands like 'sit' and 'down,' and he's excelling with leash work. Though initially shy, he transforms into a lively and vocal pup once he feels secure. Chook loves to romp around in the backyard, although he prefers a home with older teensโhe's not a fan of young children due to his energetic play style. He gets along well with other dogs and thrives in their company, but he's yet to be tested with cats. With a local adoption fee of $200 (or $450 for out-of-state, including transport), Chook is ready to charmingly wiggle his way into your heart. Click apply to start the adoption process.
