About Hilda

Meet Hilda. This remarkable girl has come a long way since her days surviving on the street and has truly blossomed in her foster homes. Hilda is estimated to be around 3–4 years old and is now ready for her own soft place to land. Quiet and gentle, she can be shy at first but does very well with dogs, cats, and calm or older kids. Hilda is a medium-sized, spayed adult who is kennel trained, house trained, and has an easygoing, low-key energy. Hilda loves pets and snuggles and often seeks out affection from her people once she feels safe. She still needs time to decompress and will do best in a calm environment with an adopter committed to patient, slow introductions. She needs a securely fenced yard (at least 6 feet, with reinforced gates) and a home that understands she may take a little while to learn that she's finally safe. A child-free home or one with gentle, older children (13+) would be ideal so Hilda can approach new relationships on her own terms. For someone who wants a loving, affectionate companion and can offer extra security and structure, Hilda is ready to shine as a devoted family member. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
