About Bison
Bison is a pit bull terrier mix bursting with energy and eager for some room to move. Life in a shelter kennel wears on him, and when he finally gets out, he’s full of excitement and enthusiasm. He already knows a strong “sit,” is treat-motivated, and craves attention, though he hasn’t quite picked up the finer points of personal space—he’ll jump and use his mouth to get the focus he wants. Volunteers are working with Bison to teach better habits, but he’ll shine with someone who can offer guidance, boundaries, and some patience at home. Bison’s short, striking apricot and chocolate coat makes him stand out. He’s always keen on walks and is ready to polish his leash skills with a committed adopter. While Bison passed his initial dog/dog assessment at the shelter, introductions with resident dogs are a must to ensure everyone gets along. Volunteers can share transition tips and advice for helping new dogs settle in. If you’re looking for a spirited, loving dog ready to learn and cuddle, Bison is waiting for you to come visit. Give him the chance to show what he’s all about. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
