ID 60041244 Meet Bison! This handsome lad who is a mix of breeds doesn’t show well on his kennel and he is very excited when he gets out. Shelter kennels can be stressful for dogs and often, they can’t contain their energy and enthusiasm when they can finally escape to some freedom. Bison knows a fantastic sit, loves his treats, is a real cuddly boy but hasn’t learned his overall manners when he wants attention and praise. He can be jumpy and a bit mouthy (this is the way they communicate) when he wants you to give him undivided attention. Volunteers are teaching him the proper ways, but he will do so much better once in a home setting with guidance and training. This will build his overall confidence, and he will enjoy snuggle time for a job well done. This guy has some awesome coat colorings to him, and is ready to bust out of the shelter. He loves going on walks, and looks forward to getting his leash manners in tip top shape with his new person. Bison passed his initial dog/dog assessment at the shelter, but, a meet /greet is needed with any resident dog in a home to make sure it is a good fit. Volunteers are always available to chat about transition time, and proper ways to set dog (s) up for success as they acclimate.
