About Rocky
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Recently returned after a heartfelt loss, Rocky is a shepherd/cattle dog mix with a sweet, deeply affectionate spirit. He is the type of companion who thrives on close connection, always seeking the comfort of his person or pack. Rocky melts into plush toys and treats and adores cozy cuddle sessions, but what truly makes him shine is lounging beside his family or enjoying a stroll—he lights up the moment he hears "walk." Rocky does wonderfully with other dogs and would blossom in a home with canine friends. He's also known to be friendly with cats, making him a great addition to a multi-pet household. While initially shy meeting new people, especially men, he quickly bonds with kind, patient humans, and becomes an incredibly loyal companion. Rocky knows basic commands like sit and down, is crate trained for a few hours at a time, and is housebroken according to his previous owners. He can be anxious when left alone and would do best in a home where people are around more often than not. At around 5 years old and weighing 43 pounds, Rocky walks well on leash, rides comfortably in cars, and loves being part of a semi-active home where daily walks and cozy downtime are both on the agenda. If you’re ready to bring unwavering devotion and companionship into your life, Rocky is waiting for a new family to call his own. This could be the start of something paw-some.
