About Art
Your new best friend is just one click away. Art is a bright, spirited girl with a big personality and an even bigger love for playtime! If you’re looking for an active, engaging companion to join you on life’s adventures, Art might be your perfect match! She’s incredibly smart and thrives when she has something to do, whether that’s learning new skills, exploring the world, or enjoying a fun, structured game with her favorite people. Art has a strong enthusiasm for toys and play, which could make her a great candidate for dog sports or other enrichment activities that keep both her mind and body busy. Art can get a little extra excited in the moment and may greet you with an enthusiastic jump now and then, but she’s eager to learn and benefits from clear guidance and consistency. She’ll do best in a home that can continue helping her build polite manners and channel her energy in positive ways. While Art loves her human friends and bonds deeply with her people, she prefers to be the only dog in the home so she can soak up all the attention. She’s happiest as your one-and-only companion and isn’t a fan of dog park environments. We're requiring that she go to a single-dog home where she can feel like the center of your universe. And it’s not all go-go-go! Art has a wonderfully soft side, too. She absolutely adores affection and will happily lean in for pets, gazing up at you with her gentle brown eyes. Those quiet, snuggly moments are just as special to her as playtime. Because of her energetic play style, any children in Art's new home are required to be age 10 or older. We also recommend that her new family has experience with dog ownership so they can better address her training needs. If you’re ready for a loyal, fun-loving, and affectionate companion, come meet Art at the Placer SPCA and see if she’s the missing piece in your life! Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
