About Rex
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Meet Rex, our sweet senior goofball! Rex is a 10-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who has been with the rescue since last October, quietly capturing hearts along the way. Despite his age, Rex still surprises everyone with energetic zoomies outside and a youthful spark in his eyes. Rex thrives in a calm, loving environment and adores companionship. He does best with smaller dogs and cats, as larger dogs are not his favorite. For this reason, a home without big dogs would be the perfect fit for him. His compatibility with children is currently unknown, so introductions should be handled with care. It’s important to note that Rex cannot have blankets or fabric toys due to a history of chewing and ingesting them, which once required surgery. His new family must ensure he doesn’t have access to fabric items and remain mindful of his curious nature. Rex will need to continue his veterinary care at Crossroads Animal Hospital, where he has been cared for since he was just a pup and where they know his medical history inside and out. The $200 adoption fee helps offset the significant medical care Rex has received over the years, including two surgeries, and will ensure he continues to receive the best care possible. The hope is to find him a cozy, blanket-free home where his gentle, loving personality will be cherished and where he can share his occasional playful energy with a family who appreciates his big heart. If you’re seeking a loyal, affectionate companion with a gentle soul and a youthful spirit, Rex just might be the dog for you. Fun fact: with a birthdate of August 7, Rex is a proud Leo—he’ll bring warmth and cheer to your home! Click apply to start the adoption process.
