We rushed her to NVC in Nederland, TX, where Dr. Hanson began the care she desperately needed. After a full evaluation, we learned her jaw fractures were very old—left untreated long enough to cause deep tissue infection and several dead teeth. Re‑breaking and resetting her jaw wouldn’t help her now. What she needed was relief, real relief, through a full dental cleaning and removal of the damaged teeth. And that’s exactly what she’s getting. On top of everything, Micaela is also heartworm positive, but she has already begun slow‑kill treatment, giving her a safe and steady path toward full recovery.
