About Genevieve

Meet Genevieve, a Siberian Husky mix with a big personality and even bigger drive for all your attention. She’s come a long way after surviving Houston’s shelter system and two different types of cancerous tumors, including one massive growth that weighed 8 pounds. One tumor was benign and the other had clean removal with strong odds there won’t be a repeat. There are a few minor ones left, but the vets aren’t concerned. Genevieve isn’t living with special needs—they’re just big opinions. She’s not subtle: if you aren’t giving her the time she feels she’s earned, she’ll let you know about it, loud and clear. She craves being your solo sidekick, meaning no other pets for her. At just three years old, she’s endured her share of challenges and is looking for someone ready to spoil her as the one-and-only star of the house. She’s not for everyone, but for the right person, she’ll offer total devotion, dramatic charm, and some hard-won gratitude. Your new best friend is just one click away.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

While many Siberian Huskies are good with children, Genevieve's preference for being the sole focus suggests she’d do best in a home where she isn’t competing for affection.
