About Waldo
Waldo is a three-year-old Black Lab blend who’s finally learning how good life can be. At 77 lbs, he’s bursting with energy, especially when there’s a tennis ball in sight. Waldo spent years as a scared, unreachable stray, but with patience and gentle encouragement, he’s starting to come into his own—one zoom across the yard at a time. These days, he’s happiest running at top speed, pausing only to dip his favorite tennis balls in a pool. In fact, a splash zone is an absolute must for this guy. He doesn’t jump right into play with other dogs but can enjoy the right company—a goofy, respectful canine sibling or two who won’t overwhelm him. Waldo is still wary of people, so he needs a patient, experienced adopter who will let him set the pace and celebrate each little step forward. He is not house trained yet, and he does not get along with cats. The right home will have space for fetch, a big stash of tennis balls, and someone who understands that trust is earned, not given. In return, expect the loyalty and love of a dog who’s been waiting his whole life just to belong. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
