Hi, I’m Chester I’m about two years old, and I’m the kind of dog who really loves people once I know you. I didn’t get the easiest start—I was found as a stray, so my past is a bit of a mystery—but what matters most is who I am now and who I’m becoming. When I first arrived, I needed a little time to figure things out. With patience, kindness, and gentle consistency, I’ve warmed up beautifully to the volunteers and staff here. Now I enjoy their company and look forward to our time together. I walk nicely on a leash and I’m crate trained, which makes me a great partner for daily walks and a calm routine at home. I may take a little time to fully open my heart, but if you’re someone who understands that good things are worth waiting for, I promise I’ll be worth it.
