Ella
AvailableElla is a senior female, medium-sized Domestic Short Hair cat located at Grand Prairie Animal Services. As a senior, she deserves a safe, comfortable home where she can enjoy her golden years. Her breed's affectionate nature and history as wonderful companions make her a special cat to welcome into your life. Though she has not been spayed, she's waiting for a loving adopter to give her a secure and nurturing home.
About Ella
Your new best friend is just one click away. Ella is a resilient, loving cat who happens to have Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). While this diagnosis means she may be more prone to secondary illnesses and will require attentive care, it shouldn't deter you from giving her the safe, caring home she deserves. FeLV is only transmitted between cats by close contact like grooming or sharing bowls and litter boxes, so Ella must live as an indoor-only companion, ideally with no other cats or only with others who are FeLV positive. Thankfully, humans and dogs cannot contract FeLV from her. Ella will thrive in a stress-free environment with nutritious food and regular vet checkups to help keep her immune system strong. Although finding homes for FeLV-positive cats can be challenging, cats like Ella are just as loving and delightful as their non-FeLV counterparts. She has so much love to give and would be a wonderful addition to a caring home willing to provide for her needs. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
