About Junior
This could be the start of something paw-some. Junior is living with Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), but that shouldn't stop you from opening your heart to him! Cats who are FeLV positive can lead loving, happy lives, though they may be more susceptible to secondary illnesses and do best with a little extra consideration. Junior will need to be an indoor-only cat and should live in a home with either only FeLV-positive cats or no other cats, as direct contact like grooming or sharing bowls and litter boxes can transmit the virus to other felines. It's important to note that FeLV cannot be passed to humans or other animals. With regular vet care, a healthy diet, and a low-stress environment, Junior can thrive just like any other affectionate companion. Sadly, cats with FeLV can have trouble finding forever homes, even though they are just as loving and deserving of a family. Don't let the FeLV stigma hold you back from welcoming a wonderful feline companion into your life. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
