About Winona

Winona is a two-year-old mixed breed who arrived at the shelter in April 2025 after being found as a stray. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccines, flea treated, dewormed, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She tends to be cautious around new people, but with a little time (and the help of a treat), Winona warms up and quickly shows her affectionate side. She has a knack for making herself comfortable in your lap, despite her medium size, and truly thrives when she’s with her people, ready for any adventure that includes you. Winona prefers to be your only pet and is not suited to a home with other dogs or cats. She already knows basic commands like "sit" and walks nicely on a leash. She does best as the center of attention and will reward your patience and kindness with loyalty and love. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
