About Ethel
Meet Ethel—a two-year-old Husky who’s equal parts snow queen and adventure gremlin, totally unforgettable. She craves outdoor life: hiking, running, braving snowstorms, and generally being anywhere nature challenges her. When inside, she could spend hours watching the world go by through the window, plotting her next outdoor mission. Ethel is built for cold weather; frigid temperatures simply don’t faze her. She’s clever and quick on the uptake—enrichment puzzles feed her mind, and she’ll proudly parade toys to you when it’s time to play. Walks are a sensory exploration, with every scent and passing creature catching her curiosity—and yes, she’d try to meet (or chase) all of them if the chance arose. Her idea of daily exercise is marathon-level; she’ll keep you moving for miles, rain or shine. Expect to be surprised—Ethel is stealthy and won’t hesitate to find her own fun if left unsupervised, so a watchful human is a must. Her piercing blue eyes might be the first thing you notice, but her strong opinions and independent spirit will stick with you longer. She’s not destructive anymore (most days), now focusing her energy on tough chew toys and learning to let her softer ones last a little longer. Crate training is ongoing, and she’s happiest when close to her people. She’s mostly quiet, but she will let you know when she needs something—Ethel believes communication is key. Ethel isn’t a cuddly couch companion—she thrives with structure and activity and needs a confident, active adult prepared for a full “husky experience.” She sets her own pace, likes to negotiate rules, and needs patience, consistency, and someone ready to reinforce good habits. Ethel continues building confidence after a rocky start, and while she’s heard plenty of “no's,” she’ll reward the right person with her trust. She has a history of not getting along with children or other pets, so she’ll need an adult-only, pet-free home. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and in good health. If you’re looking for a blue-eyed, strong-willed explorer who thinks winter is the best season, Ethel’s waiting to meet you. Click apply to start the adoption process.
