About Ethel
Meet Ethel 💙❄️ —A 2 year old, part snow queen, part adventure gremlin, 100% unforgettable. Ethel lives for the great outdoors. Hiking? Yes. Running? Absolutely. Buffalo snowstorms? Her runway. When she’s not outside conquering the elements, she’s busy window-watching like it’s her full-time job. This girly thrives in the cold and believes subzero temps are merely a suggestion. She’s a smart cookie who loves puzzle games for her meals and will proudly bring you a toy when she’s ready to play — which is often. Like… after almost every walk. Speaking of walks, they’re a work in progress because Ethel is convinced she needs to personally investigate (and possibly chase) everyone and everything. There’s simply too much to sniff in this world. Ethel will keep you moving to the tune of around four miles and roughly 10 hours a day, even when the weather says “absolutely not.” She’s stealthy, curious, and you may not hear her getting into trouble until it’s already happening. Her stunning blue eyes will absolutely lure you in — but don’t be fooled, this girl has opinions and a strong desire to remodel your home if left unsupervised. She’s learning, though! She’s traded chewing everything for enjoying her Benebone and is slowly extending the lifespan of soft toys (RIP to the fallen ones). Crate training is a work in progress — Ethel prefers to be near her human, thank you very much. She’s not much of a barker, but she will politely whine to let you know when she needs to go outside. Communication queen 👑 Ethel is not your couch-potato cuddle buddy. She’s closer to a full-time husky-level commitment and will do best with active adults who are ready to keep up. She likes to challenge the rules, wants to be the boss, and needs consistent expectations and reinforcement of good habits. A patient person who doesn’t mind being closely supervised (by Ethel) will be her perfect match. In her foster home, Ethel is praised often for making good choices — she’s heard “no” a lot in her two years and is still learning confidence. She can struggle with some anxiety due to unmet needs in the past, but she does communicate what she needs if you’re willing to listen. 👉 Best fit: a home with no kids and no other pets, due to past confrontations. 👉 Stats: 50 lbs, spayed, up to date on vaccines, no allergies or health issues. If you’re ready for snow hikes, endless sniff breaks, mental enrichment, and a strong-willed blue-eyed explorer who will keep you on your toes — Ethel is your girl. 🐾💙
