About Melody
Melody showed up during a bitter cold snap in January with her newborn pups, skinny and dealing with flea dermatitis. She led rescuers right to her little ones, putting her own needs aside for theirs. Scared at first and needing to be trapped, she has transformed steadily over the past three months and is now much healthier and more trusting. Melody is still on the shy side, but she quickly made herself at home in her foster house, happily flopping on the couch as if she belonged there all along. She does well with other dogs and prefers a calm, quieter environment where she can relax. Adaptable in the house and comfortable in a crate, Melody now weighs about 50 lbs and is around two to three years old. She is spayed, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations.
