About Melody
Start your journey together! Apply now. Momma Melody and her sweet newborns are settling into foster care after being rescued from the cold by a kind Good Samaritan. Melody is a shepherd mix who has likely spent some time on the streetsโshe's a bit thin, shows some hair loss from previous flea issues, and is understandably timid. Despite her rough start, this gentle girl is incredibly sweet and adjusting beautifully in her foster home, showing gratitude and warmth to those caring for her. She and her puppies will be ready for adoption in around nine weeks, once the pups are weaned and everyone has received the proper vet care. The rescue ensures all dogs are spayed or neutered before adoption, following strict pediatric guidelines. Dogs and puppies ready for adoption have completed vet checks, vaccinations, deworming, heartworm testing (if over six months), and received their rabies shot (if 16 weeks or older). Should you wish to reserve a puppy that's not yet available, you may do so with an approved application and deposit. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue devoted to safe, responsible adoptions. Please be patient as they respond to inquiries and applications. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
