Estelle is a spayed female Pit mix and about three years old. She came to the shelter as a stray and, despite some effort, her former owners never reclaimed her, so her history is a blank slate. What’s clear now is that Estelle has a playful side—she loves a good round of tug of war and knows how to sit, shake, lie down, and wait patiently for treats. She’s selective with other dogs: got along well with her brother and a few other shelter dogs but will let it be known if a dog’s energy is too much for her. A slow introduction is best if you already have a dog at home. She hasn’t lived with cats but did fine walking through the cat room, so she seems likely to manage in a home with cats.
