About Pika Pika
Pika Pika is a lively, 3-year-old Pekingese in Greensboro, NC who’s loaded with personality despite missing one eye. She weighs about 10lbs and has a long apricot coat that suits her spunky style. Her favorite pastimes include dragging dog beds around the house, rolling under them, and doing fast zoomies, especially before dinner and "sofa time." At first, Pika Pika may be shy with new people—men in particular—but once she relaxes, her joyful, puppy-like side comes through. She plays well with other small dogs, especially Pekingese, and truly flourishes with a social canine companion around. She’s mastering her leash skills, though she can get startled by loud sounds or sudden movements, and prefers walking with another dog for confidence. Her adopter must have a securely fenced yard at least 4 feet high and all adults in the home—no exceptions. Invisible fences, shared community fencing, or pens won’t qualify. Pika Pika is very fast and can jump high, so keeping her safe is a priority. She benefits from an experienced owner familiar with Pekingese, including their quirks and breed health needs. All her vaccinations are up to date, and she has been spayed. Pika Pika is house trained and does well with other dogs, but needs continued supervision to protect her good eye. Her playful antics and silly "demand barking" before meals are all part of her charm. Adopters must be willing to come meet her in Greensboro and work through the required application process. Pika Pika brings a lot of fun and affection for the right home that can keep her both safe and entertained. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
