About Jax
Jax is a 17-week-old male Australian Cattle Dog mix, weighing 24 lbs and already microchipped with age-appropriate vaccinations up to date. He has a gentle, sweet temperament and has really settled in as a terrific house guest since his littermate moved on. Jax sticks close to his foster, sleeping beside them during the day and willingly heading to his crate at night. House training is coming along—he mostly keeps his crate clean with only occasional accidents, and he does his best to get outside when needed. Jax knows some basic commands, is eager to learn more, and is especially food motivated. He gets along well with other dogs and has shown patience at mealtimes. While Jax tends to be shy at first, he gains confidence daily. He hasn't shown resource guarding and could likely coexist with a cat if introductions are gradual. He watches children from a distance, a bit cautious about noise and commotion, so a quieter home with a yard suits him best. Jax will need a confident, patient adopter—ideally someone experienced with cattle dogs or willing to engage a positive trainer if needed. He'll thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to help him settle and grow. A spay/neuter contract is required. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
