Graham
AvailableGraham is a large, short-coated dog with a mix of Terrier and Labrador Retriever in his heritage, living in Sewaren, NJ. As an adult neutered male, he is house trained and up to date on all vaccinations. His red and chestnut coloring gives him a standout look, and he brings a lot of training and sociability to the table.
About Graham
Graham and his buddy Honey were left by the side of a highway, and it’s anyone’s guess why—these two make great dogs. Graham is five and knows plenty of tricks; offer a treat and he’ll run through sit, stay, down, both paws, and over without hesitation. He’s clearly well trained and used to car rides, likely having been someone's loyal front seat companion. This big, eager guy can’t help but jump for attention when meeting new people, so homes with kids under 14 are not the best fit for him. If you’ve got a dog who’s laid-back and doesn’t mind sharing space, Graham can make that work, though meet and greets are important. He isn’t tested with cats. He’d love to find a home with Honey, but he can start his next chapter solo, too. Give Graham a shot—he’s ready to show off everything he knows and settle in. Ready to meet your new best friend? Questions about Graham
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Graham's Terrier and Labrador Retriever mix does best in homes where there’s space for activity and people to connect with. Urban homes with regular exercise, or a suburban house with a yard, would suit him well.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Graham would benefit from a fenced yard or regular trips to a park. The Labrador Retriever and Terrier mix typically enjoys stretching their legs and having room to run.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While Labradors are usually excellent with kids, Graham’s energy and tendency to jump means he should be in a home with kids 14 or older. He can overwhelm smaller children without meaning to.
