About Gidget
Life is way more fun when there’s a tennis ball to chase and an adventure waiting around the corner. I’m Gidget, a 13 month old Lab mix weighing about 40 pounds, and I’m full of energy, enthusiasm, and love. I’m house trained and crate trained, know my basics like sit and lay down, and I’m always excited to learn more—especially with someone who’s patient and not afraid to keep up with my training. I love going on walks and exploring trails, and I’ll be honest: I don’t mind pulling because everything out there is just so interesting. With continued leash training and a confident handler, I know I can improve. Car rides are one of my favorite things, and I’m always ready to hop in and go wherever the day takes us. I do great with older kids and would likely enjoy having another dog friend my size or bigger to play with. Cats, however, are not my thing. I currently live with kitties and really want to jump and play with them—not because I’m mean or aggressive, but because I don’t understand that they don’t want to be my friends. Because of that, I’d do best in a cat-free home. If you’re an active person or family who enjoys walks, outdoor adventures, and playtime (especially if tennis balls are involved), and you’re ready to help me keep learning, I just might be your perfect match. My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out* Don't forget to LIKE us on Facebook!-www.facebook.com/rescueonespringfield *Remember, dogs are pack animals.
