PERSONALITY TRAITS: Big Boy is known to be a little shy at first and then he can be very friendly. He does well in off leash play groups and could live with another dog in the home. Big Boy would benefit from a round of positive reinforcement training to help him perfect his manners. He is currently working on leash training. Here is what shelter staff and volunteers have to say about Big Boy: Big Boy was abandoned with his litter mates in a locked cage inside a house when his owner went to jail. An elderly woman who had a private shelter took them in. That was 3 years ago. Now the woman’s own health issues makes her unable to care for the animals under her care and our rescue has taken on the dogs to find placements for them. AGE: 4 yrs WEIGHT: 48 lbs HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered and micro-chipped. HW negative GOOD WITH: Other dogs; respectful children 12+; cats and other small animals unknown.
