Location: Rock Valley, IA Norbert is a sensitive, sweet soul who thrives in calm, understanding environments. He absolutely loves being outside-running, playing, and soaking up fresh air-and when playtime is done, he's more than happy to settle in for cuddles. He's potty trained and does wonderfully when left alone, never chewing things up... as long as he's not crated. Crates are a big no for Norbert and cause him a lot of stress, so he does best with freedom and trust. He loves other dogs and really enjoys having canine friends to play with. He's also around cats; while it took him some time to adjust, they're slowly warming up to each other. Norbert can be a bit too enthusiastic and wants to play rough, but he's actively working on learning better manners. Norbert is initially very scared of new people and prefers quiet, low-key settings. He's a high-anxiety boy who needs patience, gentle reassurance, and time to feel safe-but once he does, his affectionate side truly shines. He's medium energy overall and lives for his toys and bones, which bring him a lot of comfort and joy. Norbert would do best with a calm, patient home that understands his need for space, routine, and kindness.
