About Chief
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Chief is a happy, sweet, people-loving boy who thinks every human is his new best friend. He lights up every room he enters, sometimes with a bit of rambunctious energy! Strong, enthusiastic, and full of heart, Chief lives to spread joy and embraces life with boundless excitement. Endearingly nicknamed a "bulldozer," Chief isn’t always aware of just how powerful he is, so he’s best suited for a home without small children. He would thrive with dog-savvy teens or adults who want an active, playful companion to share in adventures, train, and grow together. He can pull on the leash and gets a bit mouthy when excited, but Chief is highly intelligent, quick to learn, and genuinely wants to please. With consistency, structure, and someone who enjoys the process of training, Chief will absolutely shine. Chief tends to be dog selective, but has happily shared his home with female and small dogs in the past when introduced properly. Like many pitties, he has a natural prey drive, so a home without cats or small animals is a must. Chief does have some allergies, very common in his breed, so he’ll need to remain on a prescription diet and have a family prepared to keep up with any allergy-related care. If you want an affectionate, eager-to-learn companion with lots of love to give, Chief just might be the best friend you’ve been looking for. Fun fact: Born on July 14, Chief is a Cancer—a sun sign known for loyalty and affection! Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
