Rain in Southern California is indeed a rare gem, just like Zoboomafoo, our unforgettable little star who burst onto the scene during a storm! 🌧️ One fateful evening, a compassionate woman heard strange cries outside her home. Curiosity led her to discover Zoboomafoo standing forlornly in the downpour, missing most of his fur, with his poor skin marked by painful scabs and lesions. It was clear he needed saving, and she stepped up to answer the call. 😢 Thinking he was a pug, she navigated the storm to find us and bring him to safety. Upon his arrival, our hearts broke for this fluffy friend. It was evident that Zoboomafoo had seen better days, having been neglected for far too long. We believe he is a "fluffy Frenchie," a designer mix that often suffers from the consequences of irresponsible breeding, leading to the struggles he has faced. Once Zoboomafoo entered our care, he began receiving much-needed treatment, and oh my, what a transformation! 🌟 His cracked, itchy skin and oozing sores are now much improved, and while we can't promise a full coat of fur, his skin has grown healthier and softer. There are still some lumps and bumps, but they are not causing him any pain, and with continued care, he is bound to keep thriving! However, Zoboomafoo will require a dedicated adopter who understands the importance of ongoing medical treatments and regular grooming to keep his unique condition in check. Zoboomafoo is about 5.5 years old and weighs roughly 18 pounds. What he lacks in fur, he makes up for tenfold with his larger-than-life personality! 💖 This precious pup is utterly devoted to his people and positively beams in response to human attention. He imagines himself as the sole star of your life, and he truly deserves to be! While he enjoys romping around with other dogs, his possessiveness over his favorite humans stems from a deep-rooted need for security; he may do best as the only dog in the home. This lovely boy absolutely adores playtime—especially chasing toys—but what he truly craves are those cozy cuddles! 🥰 Though long walks may not be his cup of tea, curling up next to his human for a cozy snuggle session absolutely is! With all he's been through, Zoboomafoo is eager to soak up every ounce of love that comes his way. His ideal home would be one with someone experienced or eager to learn about caring for special medical needs pets.
