About Reuben
Reuben is about a year old and weighs in as a medium-sized, black and white mixed breed with a playful, loyal spirit. He’s a true social butterfly—he gets along with kids, dogs, and even cats, and he’d really enjoy having another playful dog around. Reuben is crate trained and stays quiet with no accidents, and he’s fantastic on car rides, preferring to keep his human company up front. You’ll notice he’s very food motivated, making training easier (especially when paired with his responsiveness to redirection). Outdoors, Reuben comes alive and will thrive in a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs. He’s still working on leash manners—he might pull, but he’s attentive and matches pace when you do. A known counter-surfer, he’ll benefit from a bit of guidance to keep those paws off the counters. Reuben is a little shy if approached directly, but once he settles in, his loyalty is obvious. He’ll follow his favorite people everywhere and can be quite the cuddle buddy, happy to lounge on the couch with you. He is required to attend a certified training program as part of his puppy adoption, to help him become the best version of himself. Reuben is ready to run, snack, explore, and snuggle his way into your home. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
