About Jack
This could be the start of something paw-some. Meet Jack, a sweet and gentle senior Shih Tzu who is ready to find his forever home after coming to DASH from a rural shelter in northern KY where he was found as a stray. Jack is blind, and although he has faced the challenge of wandering outside in the winter without being able to see, he maintains his gentle and content spirit. All Jack asks for is a cozy bed or a welcoming lap, some tasty food, and a safe, loving environment. For Jack’s comfort and safety, a fenced yard is recommended so he can go out to relax and take potty breaks at his own pace. He can navigate one or two steps, but a home with minimal stairs would be ideal. Jack enjoys the company of other dogs and would do fine with older, respectful children. While he has not been cat-tested, it's believed he would do well with cats who respect his space. Jack is eager to spend his golden years being cherished and spoiled in a home where he can simply enjoy life. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
