About Wetzel
Wetzel is a long-haired golden tabby with an especially fluffy, expressive tail and an easygoing vibe. He likes to be in the middle of things—leaning against you while you read, knit, chat, or stream a show. He’s the sort who’ll nap wherever feels comfiest but is quick to climb his favorite cat tower for some quiet people-watching. Play is important to him, too: if a feather, mouse, or string makes an appearance, Wetzel dives into the action as long as a human is involved. He gives a gentle head tap to remind you when it’s mealtime, but mostly asks for calm and gentle affection from his people. New faces make him wary at first, but once he knows he’s appreciated, he settles in and relaxes. Treats are always welcome, and light pets are a must. Wetzel likely prefers being an only cat and would suit a home that’s quieter, possibly with gentle, cat-savvy kids. Smart and independent, he strikes a balance between playful and laid-back. He does have Pillow Foot, an autoimmune condition managed with medication every three days (around $175/month for food and meds), and he eats a special diet. Weekly brushing and hairball care are needed, so experience with long-haired cats is important. Wetzel was born February 1st, making him an Aquarius—a sign known for its individuality. Give him a spot where he can be adored, and he’ll return the love in his own way. Your new best friend is just one click away.
