About Spike
Spike is growing to understand that gentleness matters just as much as strength, and with a little patience, he shows his loyal and soft side. Once given the opportunity to let his guard down, Spike proves to be steady, thoughtful, playful, and unexpectedly gentle. He truly shines when he has a person to connect with, enjoying belly rubs, favorite toys, and sprinting around the playpen. He needs to be the only dog in your home—he thrives best as your one-and-only. Beneath his tough exterior is a dog who’s simply looking for connection, eager to be the best companion he can be. Spike is at the Westhampton Adoption Center in New York, NY. Open Tuesday through Sunday, 11am–4pm, with same-day adoption available. He comes neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. Your new best friend is just one click away.
