About Alfalfa

Alfalfa is a 2-year-old Doberman Pinscher mix with striking looks and a gentle, sweet temperament to match. Rescued from risk at a shelter, he’s proven himself to be easy to leash, patient in his kennel, and walks well—though he can pull a bit when excited. In the yard, Alfalfa transforms into a playful guy, racing around with big bursts of energy and never saying no to a good scratch. He enjoys every bit of attention, especially from the people he trusts, and has no problem making the camera his friend. He’s eager to please, listens well to simple corrections, and already knows how to sit. Alfalfa’s a good fit for an active home; he’ll be your running or hiking buddy, and still wants to curl up for cuddles after a game of fetch. He is crate-trained, not vocal, house trained, and happy to ride along in the car. While he’s still learning how to behave in a house, his food motivation makes training go smoothly. Around new people, Alfalfa sometimes starts a little shy but warms up quickly, and he’s done well with older kids in foster. His playful energy might overwhelm toddlers until he gets more practice. So far he has met a few dogs politely and has shown no reactivity on leash. Alfalfa is searching for a forever home in the Pacific Northwest where he can thrive. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
