Lucky was found wandering dangerously close to a highway. His hero tracked down his owners, only to be told they didn’t want him anymore. As if that heartbreak wasn’t enough, Lucky has also been hit by a car, lives with arthritis, and is currently heartworm positive. Through it all, he has never lost his gentle soul. While his former owners estimated him to be around 13 years old, the veterinarian believes Lucky is closer to **5–8 years old**—somewhere in the middle, with plenty of love still to give. He is now **safe in a foster home**, receiving heartworm treatment, and finally getting the care and comfort he has always deserved.
