Hi, I’m Garth! Yes, that face is mine—and yes, it is ridiculously squeezable. I’m a big ol’ 4-year-old orange boy with a permanent “mildly concerned” expression that makes people think I’m feeling surly… but trust me, that’s just my face. Inside, I’m basically a marshmallow. I was found hanging around a TNR colony, but it was immediately clear I had absolutely no business living the street life. I’m way too cuddly, way too sweet, and honestly far too into affection for all that. I can be a tiny bit shy at first, but give me a little time (and maybe tell me how handsome I am), and I warm up quickly into a super affectionate lovebug. Once I’m comfortable, I’m all about the pets—especially ear scratches. Those are my weakness. I lean in, purr like a motor, and soak up every bit of attention you’re willing to give. I also seem to do just fine with other cats. I should also mention that I’m FIV+, which really just means I’m extra special and need a loving indoor home where I can stay safe and healthy. With regular vet care and lots of love, I can live a long, happy life—just like any other kitty. If you’re looking for a big orange sweetheart with a serious face, a soft heart, and an endless supply of cuddles, I might just be your guy. Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.
