About Vida

Vida came to rescue with a haunted look no puppy should wear. She’s under a year old, likely just 8 to 10 months, but already carries the scars of mistreatment — cautious around people, and visibly unsure of human affection. Vida spends her days slowly decompressing, surrounded by patience and gentle respect. She needs her space and doesn’t trust easily, but she’s making small steps. Around new faces, her tail tucks tight, and she hangs back, wary and quiet. Even so, there’s a light inside her that flickers when she feels safe. Vida has bonded with one volunteer, and in those moments when she lets go, she runs across the play yard grinning, joyful and puppy-like, shedding her heaviness. She’s sweet, deep down, and it’s obvious she wants to trust — just needs the right person to show her she can. Vida is looking for a calm, low-traffic home with someone patient and gentle, willing to let her come out of her shell at her own speed. She’d thrive best where things are quiet and routines are steady. Foster or adopt, Vida’s next chapter depends on someone who believes she’s more than her past. Ready to meet this rare spirit? Adoption is her second chance. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
