Drako is a small, young neutered male terrier mix with a medium white and tan coat, currently located in Sherwood, OR. He is fully vaccinated, house trained, and gets along well with children, dogs, and cats. Drako thrives on affection and is looking for a loving, active household where he can settle in and enjoy a life off the streets.

About Drako

Drako’s life started on the streets of Chapala, Mexico, dodging traffic and scavenging for scraps. When another dog left him injured and alone, a kind rescuer finally gave him the care he desperately needed—healing a torn lip and removing countless fleas and ticks. In foster care, Drako’s spark came alive. He’s incredibly affectionate, happiest when he can soak up human attention, begging for belly rubs or curling beside you on the couch. The white and tan, scruffy terrier mix brings real energy to playtime, especially when there’s fetch involved; he’ll bring you a toy and wait, body buzzing with excitement, until you throw it again. Drako is house trained and comfortable with children, though little ones should learn how to respect his boundaries around food and space. He gets along well with other dogs, always eager for canine company and happy wrestling or sharing toys. Drako would thrive as a companion to an active family or individual, craving both daily playtime and the comfort of a safe, loving home. Another dog in the house suits him, but he focuses just as much on his people. While he’s over his survival days, he’ll need a patient adopter to help him settle into a new routine and fully embrace soft living. Drako is still young, around a year old, and well-suited for homes that offer consistent interaction and light exercise. He’s ready to leave his rough start behind for good. Drako is currently waiting in foster care in Mexico but will come directly to Portland, Oregon once adopted. Your new best friend is just one click away.
