About Barley
Barley always makes mornings brighter. He takes his role as the shelter’s welcoming committee seriously, greeting everyone with cheerful meows and a lot of heart. Early hours bring out his sweetest side—and he’s at his most affectionate when there’s the promise of a new day (and possibly some snacks). Barley got his start on a roadside farm where life wasn’t safe. He was one of a group of kittens brought in sick, but with plenty of care and medicine, he bounced back and became a healthy, slightly spoiled cat. Barley is all about people, though he prefers a slow introduction before showing his more snuggly side. Give him time and a little patience and you’ll earn full access to his cuddles, purrs, and that cute baby meow. Mealtime is his favorite; he’ll dance at your feet and make sure you don’t forget his presence. Having grown up with so many siblings and cousins, Barley feels happiest with other cats and will thrive if you have feline company at home. He’s neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for adoption. There’s a soft spot inside this once-tiny, scrappy kitten, and he’s been waiting for someone to share simple rituals like quiet mornings and greetings at the door. Ready to meet your new best friend?
