She came to us in a horrendous state of neglect, with a football-sized tumor dangling from her undercarriage. She was matted, full of wounds (both new and old) and a walking skeleton. When she was first approached, she was so terrified she peed herself. It took her nearly 3 weeks to look me in the eyes and take a treat from my hand. I was beginning to worry that she was broken beyond repair. Then one day it happened. She looked at me, ever so gently took a treat from my hand and pawed my let for more. I cried happy tears. Fast forward 2 months. You wouldn't know this is the same dog. Her eyes are bright, she barks at you for pets and attention, and zooms around the yard with my pack. Her transformation is nothing short of miraculous. We had her tumor removed - not cancerous! Another miracle! She's gaining weight and muscle tone. She carries herself with confidence and will melt in your lap. Im just speechless about her progress. I'd love to see her in a home with another doggo or two.
