About Jordy

They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Jordy is an adorable little Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix with a heartwarming story. After a rough start, Jordy now eagerly looks for a forever home where he can blossom. At about 5 years old and weighing only 10 lbs, this sweet boy’s tail never stops wagging when he's around other small dogs—he absolutely thrives in the company of canine friends! Though Jordy prefers not to be picked up or petted, he will gently deliver your fingers little kisses and loves just being close by his person, happy to share your space without demanding constant attention. Jordy must have another small dog in the home, as he finds comfort and joy with fellow little pups. For his safety and happiness, he cannot be placed in a home with large dogs, young children under 8, or in apartments. Instead, he needs a calm, understanding adopter willing to celebrate him for who he is—a sweet-natured companion who doesn’t kiss on the first date, but whose loyalty is unparalleled. To meet Jordy, fosters or adopters must reside in the Dallas Metroplex or surrounding areas. Plus, a one-week home trial is included before adoption is finalized! Fun fact: Jordy is an Aries, known for their fierce loyalty and spirited personality. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Jordy

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Pomeranian/Chihuahua mixes do best in stable, quiet homes where they can bond closely with their owner and have another small dog companion. They thrive in houses with secure yards and do not do well in apartment settings that might be noisy or crowded.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

They benefit from a safe, fenced backyard where they can explore and play. While they do not need a large yard, they do appreciate regular, supervised outside time for exercise and enrichment.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Because of their small size and tendency to be more reserved, Pomeranian/Chihuahua mixes are best suited to homes with older children who understand gentle handling. Young children may not be ideal as rough play can make these dogs uncomfortable.
