Gary is a 20-pound beagle mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart hiding just under the surface. When he first meets new people, Gary can be a little grumpy and unsure-but don't worry, he's easily convinced that humans are wonderful with a few pieces of hot dog or a slice of cheese. Once he decides you're his personal chef, you're officially his person... and he turns into the most cuddly, loving, friendly little guy. Gary absolutely loves being around other dogs and really wants a buddy to play with. He doesn't always read the room when another dog is done playing, so he'd do best either as an only dog soaking up all the attention, or with a playful dog who enjoys an enthusiastic companion. He is mostly house-trained, with only the occasional accident, and while he may protest a bit when first left alone, he does settle down and can usually be found curled up in his oversized dog bed, snoozing the day away.
