DJ is a young, medium-sized German Shepherd dog with a striking bicolor coat and a short, easy-to-care-for coat length. He is currently about 2 years and 5 months old and living in Wills Point, TX. DJ is a neutered male, fully vaccinated, house trained, and adjusting to life as a tripod. He does have special needs due to his amputation, but he brings plenty of resilience and sweetness wherever he goes.

About Dj

It’s honestly hard to understand how DJ hasn’t found his people yet. He came to the rescue as a young pup after a tough start—hit by a car at just five or six months old. The injuries cost him a leg, but now DJ is a proud, happy tripod who doesn’t let anything slow him down. He gets along with both dogs and cats, though meeting new friends can make him a bit wary at first; he just needs some gentle encouragement in social situations. Because of what he’s been through, cars and unfamiliar environments can rattle him, so he’s best matched with a patient and understanding family willing to help him keep gaining confidence. At home, DJ is potty trained, crate trained, and just plain sweet. Walks can make him nervous, but with soft handling and some time, he keeps getting braver on the leash. A patient adopter is non-negotiable. He deserves a family willing to accept all his quirks and grow with him. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
