About Licorice
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Since you're searching for a new best friend, meet licorice—a handsome, energetic, and affectionate pup waiting for his forever family! Licorice was born in May 2023 and is a striking mixed breed with a shiny black coat and a shining white star on his chest. He comes from humble beginnings, rescued in East Texas after being abandoned with his six sisters, but his luck changed when he landed with a caring foster family and became the star companion everyone needed. In his foster home, licorice has learned the joys of playtime, whether it's tug-o-war, fetching squeaky toys, or having fun with chew hooves—chew toys are a must for this busy boy! Despite his lively side, he adores relaxing on the sofa for belly rubs after a day of playing or "helping" (sometimes digging!) in the garden. Licorice gets along well with selective dog friends but prefers an environment as an only dog or with just one companion instead of chaotic dog parks. He is crate trained for safe solo time and definitely needs sturdy toys to keep him occupied. He is exceptionally kid-friendly, house trained, microchipped, neutered, and fully vetted. Licorice is a loyal, kiss-happy pal who can't wait to be someone's lifelong best friend. Born under Taurus, he’s sure to add a steady and loving touch to any home. They are waiting with paws crossed!
