About Lana

Lana came north in early 2025 after being pulled from a shelter in southern Illinois, where she narrowly escaped euthanasia. She’s a young, brown tabby full of kitten energy—curious, lively, and always ready to play. Lana isn’t instantly bold with new people and might hesitate at first, especially when hands reach toward her, but once she settles in she loves a good pet and will bounce around the room to greet you. She shows her silly side daily and appreciates having someone patient who lets her open up at her own speed. Lana has a bit of scarring on one eye, likely from a rough start as a kitten, but it doesn’t slow her down or dampen her spirit. She gets along well with other cats and is already spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and reliably uses her litter box. Lana is waiting in Mokena, IL for someone who will see her for the playful, affectionate cat she’s becoming. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
